I'm 42 and about to retire from policing, was thinking about going back to school and doing something with history. It was always my favorite subject in school, it was my college major (Fordham Class of 2004), and was interested in the idea about somehow getting into an intellectual career.
The outline of a goal would be to apply Objectivism (yes, I found out about you via Yaron Brooks) to my favorite historical eras, The Enlightenment, American/French Revolutions, and Reconstruction. To do what I'd want I'd have to learn some philosophy and economics (is it just me, or do Historians just generally ignore economics?).
